This is a private reference site, not a government office. We cannot confirm custody, release a person, post bond, or retrieve an official booking record. Contact the agency that holds the record.
Official Jackson Record Offices
The right contact depends on whether the person was in a county jail, an MDOC prison, or a court-supervised case. Sheriff Records accepts Jackson County jail record requests through FOIA.

Use the following route to reach the source that can act on the request.
- For a completed Jackson jail release, use Sheriff Records and the relevant court.
- For state parole or felony probation, use OTIS and the assigned MDOC Region 9 office.
- For a recent county event, check MI-VINE, then ask the booking desk whether custody continues or moved.
- For an MDOC date or discharge, use OTIS first and MDOC records for formal proof.
- For a facility question, contact the operator shown on that facility page.
- For a sentenced state prisoner, use Michigan OTIS rather than a county jail contact.
- For federal or immigration custody, use BOP, ICE, the federal court, or the responsible U.S. Marshals district.
